I was really annoyed tonight because of a delayed shipment for our new camera (our previous one was stolen). The Ugandan courier company charged us 90,000 shillings more than we agreed to pay for our shipping (that’s a LOT here). Isn’t that ridiculous? What could be more annoying? I mean what you agree is what you agree right? Then I got annoyed at Tessa for trying to hurry me up, then spent ages writing a frustrated e-mail to the company, before walking in extremely late into our bible study flustered and distracted.

Then I heard two stories about people who’s families almost shunned them after they became Christians.

Then we were ushered into a funeral vigil taking place right next to church. A 10 year old girl had just died.

Then I felt like a dick, and repented.

Good to see you using Christianised jargon to describe your feelings… Love your work, love you guys!

  2. I really love your little stories!!

  3. We’ve all been there and felt that. But only you could describe your feelings in true Kiwi fashion! Don’t hold back Nick, say what you really think 🙂

That wasn’t really a nice day for you guys. Hopefully you will be. We can only combat and defeat evil through commitment and dedication prayers. May the soul of the deceased 10yr old RIP, Amen! You guys are all in my prayers

I can empathise with your frustration regarding the “hidden costs”. The price must have trended with inflation – it only used to cost me UGS1,000 to help them find my mail after receiving the “You have a parcel” card. Mind you we did go 3 weeks with cold showers because we wouldn’t help the power company find some wire to connect us.

    Blessings to you both, Ray
