The Wakonye Kenwa group that Tessa has been working with decided that a drama illustrating the harms of alcohol would be a great way to try and advertise the new alcoholics anonymous groups that are starting in the community. Here’s a few short clips from drama! Isaac’s acting is spot on. He’s exactly like the drunk old men who wander around Lacor center ๐
Warning – there is a scene here where the alcoholic guy recovers from an attempted hanging, in case that triggers anything for anyone.
Fantastic! Isaac is very good in his role. Great to see so many people watching ๐
Yeah he’s great isn’t he! They might get to do the drama for the main launch of the law too, which would be an even bigger crowd!
The audience seem to find the wife beating scene hilarious, which is a wee bit disturbing!
I think they were mostly just laughing at Isaac’s slapstick… but there certainly is also quite a bit of black humour here…
Brilliant. I think the wife beating hilarity was more directed to Isaac’s acting ability, than to the actual beating. He did so well. It must be so encouraging to get this level of audience, who are obviously entertained – with a message built in.
Blessings

Yeah it was really great. It was a big of a mission getting everyone together and making it happen but it came together well in the end ๐
Definitely drew the crowd!

Yes! But it was hard to get people to stay for our chairpersons more educative talk afterwards…. maybe the talk also needs slapstick.
Very well done! The slap stick would really have hit the mark and got the message across too.
Definitely did ๐
